Verse 1
श्री-गुरु-चरण-पद्म, केवल-भकति-सद्म,
वन्दो मुइ सावधान मते ।
याहार प्रसादे भाइ, ए भव तरिया याइ,
कृष्ण-प्राप्ति हय याहा ह’ते ॥
śrī-guru-caraṇa-padma, kevala-bhakati-sadma,
vando mui sāvadhāna mate
yāhāra prasāde bhāi, e bhava tariyā yāi,
kṛṣṇa-prāpti haya yāhā ha’te
The lotus feet of the spiritual master are the abode of unalloyed devotional service. I bow down to them with utmost care. By his grace, O brothers, one crosses beyond this material world and attains Lord Krishna.
Verse 2
गुरु-मुख-पद्म-वाक्य, चित्तेते करिया ऐक्य,
आर ना करिह मने आशा ।
श्री-गुरु-चरणे रति, सेइ से उत्तम-गति,
ये प्रसादे पूरे सर्व आशा ॥
guru-mukha-padma-vākya, cittete kariyā aikya,
āra nā kariha mane āśā
śrī-guru-caraṇe rati, sei se uttama-gati,
ye prasāde pūre sarva āśā
Make the words emanating from the lotus mouth of the spiritual master one with your heart, and harbor no other desire within your mind. Attachment to the lotus feet of Sri Guru is the highest destination, for by his grace all spiritual hopes are fulfilled.
Verse 3
चक्षु-दान दिल येइ, जन्मे जन्मे प्रभु सेइ,
दिव्य-ज्ञान हृदे प्रकाशितो ।
प्रेम-भक्ति याहा हइते, अविद्या विनाश याते,
वेदे गाय याँहार चरित ॥
cakṣu-dāna dila yei, janme janme prabhu sei,
divya-jñāna hṛde prakāśito
prema-bhakti yāhā ha-ite, avidyā vināśa yāte,
vede gāya yāṅhāra carita
He who has opened my darkened eyes and manifested divine knowledge in my heart is my master birth after birth. From him ecstatic prema-bhakti flows and ignorance is slain; the Vedas sing his sublime character.
Verse 4
श्री-गुरु करुणा-सिन्धु, अधम जनार बन्धु,
लोक-नाथ लोकेर जीवन ।
हा हा प्रभु कर दया, देह मोरे पद-छाया,
नरोत्तम लइल शरण ॥
śrī-guru karuṇā-sindhu, adhama janāra bandhu,
loka-nātha lokera jīvana
hā hā prabhu kara dayā, deha more pada-chāyā,
narottama la-ila śaraṇa
O spiritual master, ocean of mercy, friend of the fallen! O master of the universe, life of all souls! Alas, alas, O Master, be merciful and grant me the shade of your lotus feet. Narottama has taken full shelter.
