Verse 1
kabe have bolo se-dina āmāra?
aparādha ghuci’, śuddha nāme ruci,
kṛpā-bale have hṛdaye sañcāra
Tell me, when will that day be mine? When, with all offenses eradicated, a genuine taste for the pure Holy Name will arise within my heart by the strength of divine mercy?
Verse 2
tṛṇādhika hīna, kabe nije māni’,
sahiṣṇutā-guṇa hṛdayete āni’
sakale mānada, āpani amānī,
ha’ye āsvādiba nāma-rasa-khāni
When, considering myself more humble than a blade of grass, and welcoming tolerance into my heart, offering all respect to others without seeking prestige for myself, will I taste the priceless mine of the nectar of the Name?
